Microblading is also referred to as Eyebrow Embroidery, Feather Stroke Brows, 3D Brows, or micropigmentation. It is the process of manually implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of tiny, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, and to naturally enhance features of the face.
Yes microblading is a tattoo, and tattoos, by their nature and definition are permanent. Some practitioners advertise microblading as a semi permanent procedure, and this procedure tends to change and fade over time. All tattoos will fade with sun exposure, and the eyebrows, being in a position where sun exposure is a daily occurrence will fade over time. Results depend on how well you take care of them. Other factors include skin pigment, texture and oiliness. No guarantees can be made for the outcome of this procedure.
You must be 18 years or older to undergo Microblading.
If you had microblading done elsewhere and you need a touch up you will be charged the full price.
Yes, however, the old tattoo must be significantly faded for the hair strokes to show through and look natural. Please advise, if you do have an existing tattoo, submit a picture to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.
The area can be a little sore for the first few hours and tender for a few days.
The appointment takes 3-4 hours initially and 1-2 hours for touch ups. Most of the time spent is mapping and drawing the shape and picking the right color. Please plan accordingly.
Your brows will take 10 days to heal. During that week, it is encouraged you to let them naturally exfoliate off. This means keeping them out of water, sweat, steam, etc. Once the scabbing phase passes, the brows will appear lighter, and their true color should come out after 4 weeks. As long as you’re good at following aftercare instructions, there shouldn’t be a problem going to work or being out in public.
We use two different types of numbing to help alleviate any discomfort.
Please note: Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure. Please plan accordingly
Microbladed eyebrows last anywhere from 10 months to 2 years for most people. Cosmetic tattoo sessions are considered permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time with sun exposure and may need to be refreshed every 11 months to 15 months. Those who did not follow after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.
Here at strokes of Genuis we recommend you get it done yearly to keep it fresh with a required touch up at 6 weeks.
IMPORTANT (PLEASE NOTE) THE RESULTS WILL A BE A FULLER NATURAL LOOKING BROWS. INITIALLY THE BROWS MAY APPEAR DARKER BUT WILL FADE SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. ALTHOUGH WE USE THE BEST PRODUCTS AND PROVIDE A QUALITY SERVICE, ALL CLIENTS HEAL DIFFERENTLY AND MANY FACTORS MAY LEAD TO VARIED RESULTS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A TOUCH UP DONE AT 6 WEEKS AS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PREDICT HOW WELL YOUR SKIN WILL RETAIN THE PIGMENT. DUE TO THIS AND OTHER VARYING FACTORS, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR RESULTS.
PLEASE NOTE : HAVING THIS PROCEDURE DONE WHILE ON YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE MAY INCREASE DISCOMFORT. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY
