Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, and giving definition and the illusion of fullness. Strokes of Genius Microblading is the best option for semi-permanent lip blush in Winter Garden, Kissimmee, Windermere, Williamsburg, Orlando, Lake Buena Vista, and surrounding areas in Florida.
A tiny mechanized needle deposits pigment into the lips, which builds layers of color. This can be a corrective service to help even out the tone of the lips, but it can also help with asymmetry. Unlike traditional permanent cosmetic tattoos, lip blushing has evolved to provide natural-looking, long-lasting results.
Semi-permanent lip blushing, commonly known as permanent lip blushing, involves advanced tattoo artistry to add bold, dramatic color that enhances lips. Pigments are implanted into the skin, creating vibrant, crimson lips with just the right amount of showstopping glamour. The long-lasting results can be customized over multiple sessions to achieve each client’s perfect shade and intensity.
Our natural lip blushing uses cosmetic inks to provide a subtle stain that gently enhances natural lip color. Soft pinks and reds are lightly brushed onto the lips’ surface for a fresh, dewy flush. The emphasis is on highlighting the lip’s natural beauty for subtle, work-appropriate results. This organic enhancement requires no downtime for healing.
Results may vary from person to person. Generally, permanent lip blushing can last a year or two, although your lifestyle contributes to how well it maintains; smoking and sun exposure can speed up the fading process, and if you’re oil-prone, have an iron deficiency, or use a lot of exfoliating products in your skin regimen, the pigment could fade more quickly, too.
At Strokes of Genius Microblading, we recommend you take an antiviral prescription medication like VALTRAX at least 2 days before your lip appointment. We recommend this to avoid having a cold sore outbreak during healing. Even if you have never had a cold sore before, we recommend getting the prescription just in case it’s dormant. This doesn’t mean you will get a cold sore. This is a precautionary step to help with preventative measures so that you have a better recovery period. Also Please avoid sun/tanning 5-7 days prior to your appointment.
A tattoo on the lips sounds painful, especially for someone who might be looking for an alternative to getting injected with filler. Most of my clients rate it three or four out of ten, with ten being the most. The lips are numbed with a topical anesthetic for 30 minutes prior to the procedure and numbed throughout as well to keep clients as comfortable as possible. If you’re worried about your pain tolerance, a pain reliever like Tylenol can be taken prior to the appointment. No ibuprofen, as that will thin the blood.
You should avoid aspirin and ibuprofen since they can thin the blood and cause more sensitivity as well as bleeding. Also avoid caffeine, alcohol, fish oil, and vitamin E, as these also tend to cause more bleeding 24-48 hours prior to the procedure day.
